Hello Blog World!
I am finally getting around to doing something that I have often thought about doing but never did. Joining the cyber world and blogging my thoughts, events, debacles and anything else that makes up my life.
Who am I? That's a good question really. I am on a never ending quest to work that one out.
In the meantime I am a new mummy. I have a seven week old baby girl named Olivia. Olivia is a beautiful little angel who has come to us. I have a gorgeous husband, Scott. We have been married for 5 years and have been together nearly eleven years. Scott is my everything.
I am currently on maternity leave for a year from Woolies where I am (was) a Store Services Mgr. I loved my job. Not a huge fan of the stress that can sometimes come with the job. While I am (was) missing work I am not missing the stress and crap that seemed to be happening on a very regular basis. Some would say that I am over committed to my job. It did take a fair whack of my time. Truth be told, I was happy with that. It allowed me to escape from the real world where I don't have that all inspiring confidence to surge on forward. Allowed me to protect myself from being hurt.
So, on maternity leave with a brand new baby. So far it has actually been really good. Olivia is a gorgeous little girl and mostly is a happy contented bub. I have been fortunate to get her into a flexible routine which we wake, feed, play and sleep. Scott and I (even though it seemed cruel) fingers crossed have taught her to self settle so hopefully this will carry on through. We still have our grizzly moments. Usually in the late afternoon and early evenings - right on getting dinner ready and daddy coming home from work!
That was just a little blurb of whats happening. I am sure you will get to know me and all my bits and pieces. I am at a perfect place in my life to evaluate who I am, where I want to be and how I am going to do it. Should be a fun ride!
